Hi there. Since it is obvious now that the libpam packages were broken, just for the sake of comfort the imho simplest guide to fix it.
1.) Start linux with "init=/bin/bash" as parameter
2.) Do "/etc/init.d/checkroot.sh" and "/etc/init.d/mountall.sh" to remount all
drives rw.
3.) Do "apt-get update" then "apt-get upgrade"
Testing has already been fixed so this should work.
