GMC not working?

Hi everyone,

        I don't know if anyone has this problem. GMC won't start and with the 
warning in .xsession-error

GnomeUI-ERROR **: file gnome-icon-item.c: line 304 (get_default_font): 
assertion failed: (default_font != NULL)
aborting...

Anyone knows what's happening? Nautilus seems to work well, but I like gmc 
better.
