I've been running mrtg on debian for nearly 3 years now. I have extensive docs on how to configure MRTG to monitor various types of devices: http://howto.aphroland.de/HOWTO/MRTG MRTG is pretty straight forward, the hardest part is finding the methods to gather data, many of which I provide details about on that site. installing is easy: apt-get install mrtg I then create a mrtg user, and directory structure e.g. /home/mrtg /home/mrtg/bin /home/mrtg/tmp /home/mrtg/public_html /home/mrtg/conf where I put the various things like config files, scripts, and html. you can see a sample layout of my structure here: http://mrtg.aphroland.org I also make /var/lock/mrtg a symlink to /home/mrtg/tmp nate -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
