yes latex rules,
spend a bit of time getting your slide (color) template and pdf stuff ok, then save time, get better looking presentation (with less fluff) and have a truely sharable presentation. i have played with texpower with pdflatex and dvipdfm with good results. on the downside its difficult to get a good answer to which is the best combination of packages to use that provide good functionality with simplicity.
