Work-around that did it for me: edit ~/.gnome/gdm, change the line with lang=??? to lang=nl_NL\n Hope, it works. de_DE does... Same thing in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf, DefaultLocale=de_DE -- Bye, Dietmar
