And ... to be able to use msp3400 one also needs to have set: # I2C support # CONFIG_I2C=m CONFIG_I2C_ALGOBIT=m Then and only then the option CONFIG_SOUND_TVMIXER (which is msp3400) can be used in more recent kernels.
