ifconfig eth0 10.1.1.21 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.1.1.255 route add default gw 10.1.1.12 The above would add an address and accompanying /24 network to eth0, then configure a network gateway. Replace IP, netmask, broadcast and gateway with appropriate configs from your local network.
