It was xf86config that I wanted.

Now if I could just the settings correct.
I've got an old Daewoo (CMX?) monitor, and a GeForce 256 card,
and I can't seem to get it right.

If anyone has a similar setup maybe they could share their config
settings?

I'll keep plugging away.
