The switch I'm using is a little broken, so I need my ethernet cards to use 10baseT rather than 100base T. when I try to switch them using ifconfig, this is what I get:
# /sbin/ifconfig eth0 media 10baseT port: SIOCSIFMAP: Operation not supported Does linux not support switching or is it the drivers that need to support it? I've tried this with 3 different cards and it worked for none of them (tulip-based, 3com 9xx, and a tulip-base PC card).
