I, too, have an RTL-8029-based NIC, and it works fine with ne2k-pci driver, built as a module, no special parameters needed. I'm currently using a 2.4.3 kernel, but it worked fine in 2.2.x also. Jenner, what RealTek chip do you have? If it's an 8009 or 8019, you can use the "ne" driver. If it's an 8029, you can use either the "ne" or "ne2k-pci" driver. If it's an 8129 or 8139, you need at least kernel version 2.0.34, or any 2.2 series kernel, and you use the rtl8139 driver. -- Kevin
