When I execute 'apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade', nothing seems to happen. apt-get reports back that the packages are up-to-date. I am pretty sure that they are not because before it was asking me to update some GNOME libraries and other packages (which I did not perform). Does anyone have an explanation for this behaviour?
