I going to try and make debian cds of Woody. I have a pretty "average" pc, no scsi, typical hard drive, zip drive, floppy, CD...Its a gateway and had debian on there before...
Just wanted to know what I should put on my CDs and -where- as I know it will look for them and expect to find them in certain places. I'll be doing it at work whre I have win98, WS_ftp, and a cable connection. I dont mind doing all this work (below) but if there are woody ISO's tell me where! My plan is: got to ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/binary-i386/ and grab everything from Admin to X11 and stick it in a folder called ??? Also in the "main" tree, I'd go to: ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/current/images-1.44/ and grab what? rescue.bin and root.bin and stick them on the CD in no folder along with drivers.tgz (one directory up) so it can boot (is this right?) Then for CD2, I'd go to contrib: ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/contrib/binary-i386/ and stick all that on the 2nd CD (but what fold names should I use) -David ______________________________________________________________________ David van Popering Running Linux
