#ifdefs are not used only to make sources portable, but also to make it possible to not compile functionality which is not needed by specific user. However #ifdefs make the code very hard to read. I based above statement on what I have learned during my lectu res. Obviously my lecturer didn't know Ada well enough. Now I know that these models are nearly the same.
