Hi, I installed the gnome debs from ximian using dselect, no probs. I get the log in box, but when I try and log in as User, it throws me back to log in box, starts fine as root though.
Tried renaming .gnome and .sawfish files in my home directory to another name but this hasn't helped. Any ideas please ? system is Potato 2.2.r2 running xdm. previously I was using wmaker with no problems. Thanks in advance Regards Wayne.
