Is this a 10-base 2 or 10-base T network? If 10-base 2 (RG-58 coax) you need a BNC T connector and a 50 Ohm terminator on each end. If 10-base T you need a Cat-(3 or 5) 'Crossover' cable. A standard cable that connects to a hub won't work when connected computer to computer.
