Sorry; but this was not meant to be a bug report. I was only seeking to
determine if there were others with the same problem. I have found over
the years that it is usually not a bug when something does not work as I
expected. If there were in fact, others with the same problem I would
indeed file a bug report as that is the best way to get them cleared up.
There are entirely too many folks wanting to jump on the developers and
package maintainers with out properly investigating the situation. As of
8:30 CST 4/26/01 the version in Sid is Postgresql 7.1-release-1 In the
package pools these seems to be all of the correct files for release
7.1RC4-2 but that is not what apt or deselect pulls down. They both get
the 7.1-release-1. Since I am not a packag maintainer, I am NOT sure if
this is a problem or if the system has simply not caught up. I will try
again this PM and if it does not work correctly I will advise you. BTW
