The 'man' user should always exist, as it's created by base-passwd (an essential package). Are you doing something odd with your password file that might overwrite this? If so, fix it so that 'man' exists - base-passwd makes it userid 6, so you should stick with that. -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED]
