I just finished rebooting following a, 'apt-get install kernel-image-2.2.19' and during the boot sequence I saw a bunch of messages scroll up the screen that indicated something like, "...modprobe...error...".
I captured the boot sequence using dmesg, and I don't see these "...error(?)..." messages, but I do see: kmod: runaway modprobe loop assumed and stopped Any ideas on what this issue may be or something more that I can do to investigate? Yes, I am a newbie. Thanks in advance, Barry Mathieu
