hi! I've tried installing Gnome via
deb http://spidermonkey.helixcode.com/distributions/debian unstable main on my potato 2.2.17 and that went actually fine. but I have a problem with my s3trio64+ videocard. When I run startx it says 'no screen found' and before that it says colot depth 16 does work with the vga driver. If edit the XF86Config-4 file and set the colordepth to 4, then I get a half screen and really really low resolution!
