I also tried to install Debian 2.2r2 using compact flavour which has 3c59x
module compiled in. However it didn't work. Somebody told me that the
module has the problem with high-speed processors. I have Duron 800 Mhz.
What CPU do you have? Maybe the driver doesn't work only with specific
hardware combos (like special CPU+mainboard)?
