Hola!
Lo que te falta son las ncurses, o sea las librerias del programa que se ejecuta bajo terminal:
apt-get install libncusrses5-dev , libncurses4-dev
Puedes compilar el kernel en modo texto sin las
ncusrse con
make config
o bien desde las X:
make xconfig (creo)
