it's not that great a loss -- uptime was 65 days; i shut down to
swap out a network card from my secondary debian box to work it
into a tertiary debian box (a pentium 100 with 16mb ram! woo!)
the bad part is, the pentium 100 w/16mb ram took up tobacco envy
at that moment, and began smoking. the NIC may still be ok.
i'd rather have my 65 days back. :{
