I am trying to build the gmmusic music databse application. It uses several perl modules and includes a script that uses cpan.pm to install them.
Now, first of all, I have ver used cpan.pm before, I have only manually installed perl modules. Second the machine in question (Debian stable) is behind a firewall that requires all ftp tansfers to be done in passive mode. Thisr somewhere allong the way of doing this cpan.pm decided to rebuild me a freash perl! So now I have 5.60. installed in /usr/local.. After all of this I still can't get cpan.pm to properly install the Pg moduel!
