install console-tools and edit /etc/console-tools/config, uncomment the line: #DO_VCSTIME=yes this will put a text mode clock in the top right corner of the screen. you may find it rather annoying, especially if your stuck with an obnoxious blinking block cursor that some framebuffer drivers insist on. -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
