I follow your hint by rdev /boot/vmlinuz242k7 /dev/hdc2 , the following is my file be mounted mount /dev/hdc2 on / type ext2 (rw,errors=remount-ro,errors=remount-ro) proc on /proc type proc (rw) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620) none on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw) then I reboot, still get kernel panic please help sincere eric
