Hello! I've successfully installed Debian 2.2r2 but
am now trying to configure the X server. When I run
xf86Setup, it attempts to start the GUI configuration,
but then just stops at a gray screen. If I
cntrl>alt>backspace then I get the message:

"Program is running on a different virtual terminal
Please switch to the correct virtual terminal...."

What does this mean? I checked the env. and the TERM
variable is set to "Linux". Shouldn't this be "xterm"
or something similar? I tried unsetting/resetting to
"xterm," but this didn't help either.

My video card is a SIS 6326, which wasn't recognized
during install...but I've had other distros (SuSE,
Slackware) on this same box and they didn't have any
problems with the card.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tim
