I've added the following three lines to my /root/.bashrc file:

if [ ! "$USER" = "root" ]; then 
    export XAUTHORITY=/home/$USER/.Xauthority
fi

Therefor the xhost +localhost can be avoided (which is a security
hole). And its also more convenient...
