Hey all, A friend asked me to install debian on his pc at home where he has a @home cable connection(lucky guy)...
Can someone tell me how to get [EMAIL PROTECTED] configured for the internet. I read to install dhcp-client and purge pump after the install...Will this work? And do i need to enter the 'crXXXXX-a.thier.domain.home.com' or can i omit the cr number and just enter the domain. Is their an interactive package i can use like the one during install to enter the information. Or will i have to manually edit resolve.conf and /etc/networks by hand. Or will entering the correct info during install purging pump and installing dhcp-client after the initial install work with the previously given information. I am quite new to debian myself but am loving it....thanks to all who have contributed to it.... CM
