I do, why ?? I ask because I *cannot* use any consoles if X is running. When I switch to it, it looks file, but as soon as I type something, my text changes to something that looks worse than the old EGA or CFA mode. The text becomes HUGE. This happened, I think, after upgrading to X4. I believe I was running kernel 2.2.18 at that time and am now running 2.4.1 (or .2). It still happens. I've posted about this before and gotten *no* replies. I've searched kernel mailing lists and found nothing. I'm using a Matrox G400 and using framebuffers specifically for it. I've also tried different variations of the console fonts that are available. Thanks for any advice ! Hall
