NThis system (Compaq Presario (tower) 7478, see below) has recently been upgraded to Debian-2.2r2 and everything was working so well.
I edited /etc/lilo.conf ran lilo -v and got no errors. Now, reboots yield Compaq Presario 7478: 500 AMD K6 II CD-RW DVD-ROM on board AGP grpahics card replaced by Voodoo3 64MB ram with 64MB extra one floppy two USB ports in the front, never tried Not bad for under a grand. Red Hat 6.0 and 6.1 only recognized the DVD. Debian recognized both, during the install.
