Just check your /lib directory and see if you have something like libc-2.1.3.so installed. Also, when you run the .bin for SO it will detect your version of Glibc, and show up prior to the graphic install. Btw, you'd just install SO as a normal user, unless you have others that use your box. Also, you don't need the Java runtime installed, so just deselect it during the install. Dana
