Hello Damon, Thanks for replying. I tried a driver from Matrox and it gave me the same results. It was about twice the size of the mga_drv.o generated from the kernel source, so it must be different somehow. I remember having to adjust my monitor quite a bit, but still no h/w acceleration.
I've just got the 2.4.1 kernel and will give that a go, and then try the new Matrox drivers. I seem to remember getting symbol error messages on boot up with the Matrox driver.
