I have the eepro card. I think I got it to work with isapnp. It's there after a "modprobe eepro irq= io==0x200". I can also do "ifconfig eth0 x.x.xx" where x.x.x.x is the IP address assigned to me. But then I can't ping any computer around me! I decided to skip this step, and try to use our dhcp server. Now if I do "ifup eth0" I get the error message "MULTICAST setup failed". Any idea what I can do to fix it?
This is definitely a network card problem. The previous one I had worked flawlessly. PS How do I go about installing an unknown PCI card? I have 2 unknown ones I can try if the eepro doesn't want to work. -- Danie Roux *shuffle* Adore Unix
