You're right. aptitude install package aptitude search searchstring And I agree with you about finding dselect easy to use (which I never did) and aptitude hard when, in general, they use the same keys. + to install, - to remove, _ to purge. h is hold (dunno if that is in dselect), and instead of remembering "ok, Q to get back to the menu"... or was it Z?
