Keyboard problems with XFree 4.0.2

Hi all!

I recently have installed XFree86 4.0.2 on my debian potato.
Everything works fine, but I can not use the AltGr+X keys
(for example I can not produce an (at)-symbol).
The    XkbLayout is "de".

Has anybody an idea what is wrong?
