I didn't try this, but I think it wn't work. someone else on the user list told me that a bitmap is 2(?) colors and that xsetroot expects a 2(?) color bitmap. anything else won't work. I just discovered a program called xpmroot which uses an .xpm. but so far I haven't found anything that will use a .jpg. how are you doing it? > somewhere else instead of one you made with > gimp ??
