[ Please CC: me on all replys as I am not subscribed to this list. ] I am setting up a LDAP Directory on my school server at the moment where I store user, group, etc information. Has anybody experience with Samba using a LDAP Directory? I saw that there is some code for ldap in 2.0.x and 2.2 CVS, but ./configure --with-ldap tells that LDAP support is disabled in that version. As described in http://www.unav.es/cti/ldap-smb/ldap-smb-HEAD-howto.html, I checked out an older version of Samba from CVS which refused to build because of several problems. Has anybody done something like this and can give me a tip? Are there newer, better LDAP patches for Samba? Is Samba-TNG capable of this?
