We have a proxy server running debian potato. i downloaded a program called iptraf to try and help me figure out why it takes so long to do things like an apt-get update, etc. from our internal network behind the proxy.
using iptraf i noticed that when apt-get is just acting hung on the workstation the server is having arp requests from it that take about 25 seconds to resolv. any ideas?
