Hello, I have a fresh install of Potato from the Binary i386 Disc on my PIII 500 MHz, AOpen AX6B motherboard R2.31, ATI Rage Fury AGP graphics board, Realtek 8029 based Ethernet adapter, Promise Ultra66 IDE controller and Sound Blaster AWE64 ISA. The machine boots fine at this point but hangs when I scroll quickly. In fact, during the installation process the system hung while I was scrolling through the device drivers section. It also hangs when I am scrolling through the packages in console-apt (capt). I have checked my logs and can't seem to find any ideas as to why the system is hanging. Any help is greatly appreciated, if I have omitted any pertinent information, please advise and I will supply it. Thanks very much in advance!
Cheers, Ho-Kuo Chan
