Note that I'm by no means an expert on mail, but anyhow... This socket/length error makes me think that something goes wrong in the local smtp connection (don't know, just guessing:). If so you could try to shortcircuit it a little with the 'mda' option set to "/usr/bin/procmail -d %T". This bypasses exim (and the smtp socket). This option is a fetchmail 'user' option, so put it in the appropriate place after "user ...". Hope this works as a temporary solution. -- groetjes, carel
