Look in your /boot directory. It should be called
.config-[kernel-version], I think. I didn't know this 'til after I
compiled my new kernel. Luckily, I had an old one from when I used
Mandrake-Linux that was current as of kernel 2.2.17. I'd have hated to
try and remember what items I had compiled in, which were modules, etc,
etc ! ;-)

Every time I booted up with the Debian kernel, I kept seeing messages
about a couple SCSI items not being found. Figured they were compiled
into the Debian kernel and yes, I know, there's no harm, it still
"bugged" me.
