Dear all! I have been using Pronto for some time with the mySQL server running without problems, and providing very fast access to my many emails.
However, on a recent apt-get dist-upgrade, the newly installed mysql-server refuses to install properly, and when trying to start the mysqld, I get a segmentation fault. The output in /var/log/mysql.err is: /usr/bin/mysql_install_db: line 371: 1737 Segmentation fault $execdir/mysqld $defaults --bootstrap --skip-grant-tables --basedir=/usr --datadir=$ldata "$@" <<END_OF_DATA use mysql; $c_d $i_d $c_h $i_h $c_u $i_u $c_f $i_f $c_t $c_c END_OF_DATA I have tried re-downloading it and re installing it and no luck. I'm using Debian Woody with a 2.4test 10 kernel. Any ideas? With thanks, Matthew Sackman
