Gphoto supports over 100 cameras and is being actively developed. The gphoto development team is actually revising the code to make it VERY modular (a library). This change will make it independent of the interface (ex: GNOME, KDE, tk, curses, etc). I'd vote gphoto as it works for me:) Scott
