No idea. I had the opposite problem. As soon as X's idea of DPMS kicked in it would kill my X session (added an Option "NoPM" "true" to turn it off). My kernel/bios configuration still does blanking and offtime; must be some weird interaction between the two. -- Eric G. Miller <egm2@jps.net>
