Hi, I can't play audio using cdplay or audacity. xmms and command-line play work as per normal. cdir works as per normal. This is a new computer, fresh install. I am added to 'audio' group.
cdplay gives the following message: cdplay: ioctl cdrommsf audacity starts but gives: Audio I/O error I cannot access /dev/dsp from within Audacity's preferences. cat sound.wav > /dev/dsp gives: bash: /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy. ls -al /dev/dsp gives: crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 3 Mar 14 2002 /dev/dsp I've attached my ps axuf and lsmod results. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm hoping its a simple configuration problem. I'm running Stable 3.0r0, 2.4.18 kernel on Nvidia nforce chipset. Thanks for helping. Tim
