This can be quite fiddly to do. If you're using Windows 95/98, you can configure Lilo (Linux Loader) to let you dual boot.
If you're using Windows NT/2000 you may find you need to use the free program BootPart under NT to add an option to let it boot into Linux (depending on what order you install things and on what hard disks...) Have a look for a HOWTO on www.linuxdoc.org. There's nothing in the Debian installer yet to make all this easier for you (other distributions like Mandrake try to do it automatically, but sometimes get it wrong). As well as Lilo, you might want to look at GNU's bootloader GRUB. Its most visible advantage is that it can make prettier menus.
