Hello all I am in the process of configuring apache to use for testing PHP pages that I write. It will not be used for serving pages to the world. I am sure that I will post many queries on the subject but the first is to do with the ServerName option in the httpd.conf file. My machine is called charm before I start to mess around with the settings in the file I want to be sure I get them right. do I set the ServerName to charm in the absence of a fully qualified domain name? How do I install PHP as a module of Apache so that I can embed the script in the HTML documents rather that run it in the cgi-bin directory? All help much appreciated thank you jm
