Unfortunately I already tried those disks and they didn't seem to work. They were made using a 2.2 kernel and somehow my system goes into an infinite loop of trying to load certain modules which are not available on my system. I am now compiling a similar kernel on another system that I have gotten my tentacles on and creating a 2.4 boot diskette with support for reiser. I'll post if it works
