Huh? You *are* automating it... why do you think it installs "several other programs and/or libraries also"?
If you didn't need it beforehand, why would you have wanted it installed? Until it's needed,. leave it in the archives. ----- Marc Wilson [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.moonkingdom.net/mwilson -----Original Message----- From: Joseph Holland King [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, October 25, 2000 8:30 PM To: debian-user@lists.debian.org Subject: dpkg and dependecies is there anyway to get dpkg or even apt-get to reslove dependencies while installing? for some reason (i think i missed something during the install) my system is missing a large amount of needed programs and libraries, such that anytime i try to install a program i usually install several other programs and/or libraries also. just wondering if there is a way to automate this. thanks. --- Joseph Holland King | "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our | conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His | megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
