You will want to subscribe to debian-alpha@lists.debian.org and repost
there. 

Try something like:
boot dka500 -file linux -flag "root=/dev/scd0" 

(replace "linux" with the boot image you are trying to use) Also note
that the first potato ISOs were NOT bootable from SRM console. You will
need to get the newest revision of the CD ISOs or use another boot
method.
